DON'T JUST SAY YES TO TEASE ME,
DO YOUR UTMOST TO PLEASE ME
a small sigh escaped parted lips as cooper's eyes stared down at the computer that rested on the bed in front of him. he was currently still in his pajamas, underneath the covers of his bed with his laptop just before him, his fingers typing furiously away as he finished up some loose ends for work. and while his fingers moved and his brain thought, he really was not in it. cooper usually enjoyed his work, even though he constantly complained about it. but still it was enjoyable for him most of the time. for some reason though, tonight, he just was not in to it. his typing paused for a moment and then with great finality, he closed his laptop. he needed to get out for a bit, clear his head. get a drink and a girl. yeah, that was just what he needed. it had been a while since his last hook-up and he was in need of some female attention. cooper didn't like to think he depended on women, but he was willing to admit that he didn't function his best if he had other, ahem, needs that hadn't been attended to. so in a swift motion he slipped his laptop onto his bedside table, slid out of his bed and into the bathroom where he quickly discarded his clothes and turned on the shower, blasting the hot water.
several minutes later cooper stepped out of the shower feeling rather refreshed. he wrapped a towel around his lower half and dragged a brush through his slightly curly dirty blonde hair before moving into his bedroom to find clothes. he grabbed a tee shirt with some sort of graphic printed on it, a favorite pair of dark blue diesel jeans and then a casual black burberry blazer to throw on top of it. cooper may have been classified as a nerd, but he knew how to dress. the boy wore usually mostly classics, but he wore them well. he slipped into his clothes and grabbed a pair of shoes that were by the door. he then picked up his keys from his bedside table along with his wallet. his blue eyes took one last gaze around his apartment. it was immaculate, just the way he liked. in addition to being a computer whiz and just all around nerd, he was also compulsively cleanly so things were rarely out of place in his house. occasionally he could ignore disorganization if something else more interesting or important was happening, but he would usually go back and straighten things up anyways afterwards.
out the front door he went, locking up after himself. it was about ten thirty at night and the sun has set long ago although a warmth still hung in the air. cooper only noticed it faintly as he wound around to his garage, eager to hop into his car. if he was married to his work, then he was having an affair with his car. he loved that car, it was probably the only thing in this world he was really that fond of. it was a vintage aston martin, the kind of car that james bond drove. it had taken him forever to find one and even longer to restore it. but it was a labor of love, and as cooper opened the driver's side door, he couldn't help the small smile he felt coming to his lips. he get it a gentle pat once inside before turning the key to hear the engine purr to life and then jet off for the club. once there he parked carefully and got out, giving it one last glance before heading to the front of the line for the club. the other hundred or so people in line for the club grumbled angrily at him as he flashed his i.d. and was let in. cooper just wore that air that clearly stated 'i'm rich as hell, you don't want to screw with me' and it usually got him just about anywhere.
inside the music blared, instantly clearing out his thoughts. people packed the place from wall to wall with the majority of them being in the middle on the dance floor, one sweaty, grinding jumble. cooper might join them soon enough, but first, a drink. he pushed his way through to the bar and found himself a bar stool, ordering a scotch neat. while the bartender fixed his order. he swung around so his back was to the bar and his piercing blue eyes were focused out on the mass of people. he could already feel other women's eyes on him and that alone brought a slick smile to his pouting lips. he was curious to see what the night held for him, who he would leave with at the end of it. but then his drink was up so he turned back around to take a swallow of that oh so familiar drink that accompanied him many of his nights.
