after spending about a month here in sydney, xavier had finally come to terms with his so called "punishment". his father had him attend the local university "to get a taste of the real world". if this real world consisted of the partying, easy classes, and hook ups he had encountered then the real world was something could have taken on by himself. he had become a regular at a few of the local party spots and bars. though he would sometimes have a more difficult time of communicating due to a slight accent, most of the establishments didn't mind because when he was around it meant good business for them.
on this particular evening, xavier was deciding upon which place he would get wasted at tonight. as long as he had someone who would actually look out for him, he really didn't care how messed up he got. just as long as it wasn't in some crazy frat party atmosphere. too many of the people there never had a taste of freedom so when they were on their own with alcohol the acted like damn fools. however for tonight, he wasn't really sure on who he was going to hang out with. he hadn't talked to the people he usually went out partying with, and most of the others were busy with whatever. but then he remembered he had met this girl last week who was fairly interesting. xavier searched through the contacts in his phone, hoping to remember her name as he scrolled. when he reached the r's, it finally came to mind - sicily. finding the name, he began texting :
hey, would you want to go out for drinks? if so, im going to the rooftop bar in 30min. xavier slid his phone back into the front pocket, hoping for a quick reply. he then hurriedly looked through his closet, trying to find the appropriate shirt. he finally settled on a semi formal shirt . most of his partying close were in the constantly growing dirty pile. he only washed his clothes when he absolutely had to, since he hated using communal laundry facilities. even though he was rich enough, buying his own just seemed ridiculous. xavier really needed to find someone who lived here with a washer/dryer. he took off the worn lounging t-shirt he was wearing, and pulled the dres shirt from his closet over his head. xavier then slid the tennis shoes from his run off his feet and put on the new pair of formal teenis shoes he had bought the other day. this may have sounded odd for a male, but xavier did adore clothes. not so much being a fashionista as much as he just loved well made products in general. in addition that it made him look better, how could he not adore his wardrobe?
xavier walked out to the parking area, getting into the care he had bought has his means for transportation while he was in sydney. sure it wasn't the most eco-friendly thing to do, but his ego was probably far more important to him. especially since he rarely even used his own car that much when he was back home. he made his way over to the east village area, surprised at the lack of traffic, but then again it was a monday. as he pulled up to the bar, xavier realized that he still wasn't sure if he was going to have someone accompany him. he waited in the car for a moment, as if he would get answered in that brief amount of time. he shrugged it off and walked to the bar and hoped to find someone he know somewhere along this night.

" it was dark in her room, the blinds were closed, the lights were off, and it was peaceful, probably the only time that it was ever peaceful. Her life was filled with a dark empty void, something that should have been filled with the love from her parents, that was slowly being filled by the love she felt for her cousin. Taking care of her as if she was her own kid. Her parents, like they did to her, ignored her presence in the house, not they were home enough to even acknowledge her own. Lately Sicily had not been sleeping well. She supposed it was because her time was spent either doing work for school or taking care of her cousin, she was glad to just have one night off, which was because she was spending the night at one of her friends houses. She rolled over in her bed trying to get some sleep. At least until she heard the beep of a text. She sighed rolling over onto her back and grabbing her phone from her side table reading the text. Sitting up and she bit down on her bottom lip slightly not sure if she should go or not. Sighing she wrote back “sounds good, see you then - s.” she slid over on her bed and got up walking over to turn on the lights. It seemed like it had been forever since she just let loose and had fun. She smiled slightly walking into the bathroom to grab a quick shower before she went. She slipped out of her clothes and stepped into the shower turning on the warm water, smiling as it soaked into her skin. Sicily loved to take long hot showers, mainly because they relaxed her and she needed that, she tended to let her emotions get the better of her and she hated that about herself, but she was more relaxed after a long hot shower, and she needed that.
" after she finished her shower she was standing in front of the mirror looking at herself. She was wrapped in a small towel, with her hair down and wet. She bit her lip walking out of her bathroom and into her closet. She pulled on a pair of skinny jeans and a red tank top walking back into her bathroom. She blow dried her hair so it hung down and wavy and ran her brush through it. She wasn’t like most girls who spent hours straightening and styling their hair, she liked it her hair like it way. Once she finished she did her makeup only applying a thin layer, before she left the bathroom turning out the light. Grabbing her leather jacket she slipped her arms into it and pulled on a pair of black leather stiletto boots before grabbing her purse and leaving her room turning the light off. She made her way downstairs and into the kitchen grabbing her keys off the counter hearing a soft music coming out of her living room. Walking over she leaned against the door seeing her parents and a few of their friends having drinks. “what the fuck” she said rolling her eyes at them. She had called this morning to see if they would be home and they had assured her they were staying at work. Her father stood up she could tell he was angry but she just walked away from him and her mother, leaving the house and getting into her car. When it came to bars she never really like to go out to them, some clubs she would but more on the exclusive end, not just regular bars, so this particular one she had only gone to once or twice.
" she just wanted to forget about all the stress she had with her parents and getting drunk was the perfect solution. Or at least having a few drinks, not necessarily getting wasted. When she finally got to the bar she parked her car getting out ad locking it. She ran her fingers through her hair looking around to see if he was waiting for her in the parking lot, but she didn’t see anyone so she headed inside. She smiled slightly walking up to the bar, “can I get a coke and rum please” she said waiting for him to mix her drink. When he did she took it giving him a bill before turning leaning against a counter and looking for Xavier. She took a sip of her drink when she saw him sitting at a table, or at least someone who looked like him not that she could see perfectly. His back was to her. Making her way through the people between them she tapped his shoulder slightly “Xavier” she asked hoping that it was him and not some stranger that she didn’t know. She didn’t need any awkward silences today, she just wanted to let loose, have a bit of fun for once. She use to be the kind of person that went out everyday, went to the best parties and she was going to slowly get her back. Starting tonight.

After going into the bar, xavier felt the vibration in his pocket of an incoming message. He pulled the phone from his pocket, reading the message. The slightest grin came over his face. Placing the phone back into his pocket, xavier took a seat atop of the burgundy cushioned stool adjacent to the bar. his aqua green eyes searched over the random people in the bar, not seeing anyone all that interesting. more importantly ,no females that he saw were exactly up to his standards. he sighed softly and chalked up the disappointing crowd to the early evening hours. most of the nightlife aorund here didn't get too interesting until after eight pm anyway. xavier looked over the counter, trying to spot the bartender, who was sadly nowhere to be found. it had been awhile since he had gone out, but then again to xavier a while was only a week. he had been actually attempting responsibility and mature actions, which according to his father included not going out every two days. he still wasn't quite sure on what his father had against him partying, since he still did the same thing. sometimes xavier thought the only reason he was sent off was for his father to get close to the many women who were throwing themselves at the widower. while his mother had died over five years ago, his father just seemed ready to move on a little over three months ago.
the bartender finally decided to pop into the, to xavier's delight. most of the people in the bar were already too drunk or preoccupied in conversation to even notice that he was gone. before he could get distracted enough with anyone else, xavier waved his hand to get his attention. telling from the look on his face, he seemed to recognize xavier which may or may not be a good thing. even though he provided good business for bars, it only made it a little bit less annoying when he was crazy drunk, especially with his other crazy friends. "can i have a bacardi gold rum please" he said flatly, only his accent giving some inflection to his voice. he then waited patiently for him to return with his drink. as he waited he glanced around, taking in the views the bar offered. he had never exactly been to a rooftop bar, maybe parties, but they were never next to a beach. he surprisingly hadn't visited the beach yet, but would find some time to fit that into his schedule. there was a cool rolling breeze as the sun slowly set over the horizon line. xavier rarely considered himself artistic, but visuals like this made him genuinely happy. which was odd since xavier only experienced the slightest tinge of true happiness was when he was partying and hooking up. which explained why he enjoyed that so much.
a few moments later the bartender returned to xaviers area with a glass full of the warm, gold drink he loved so much. ironically for someone who was related to a wine tycoon he rarely if ever drank it out in public. he then took the cold icy glass into the palm of his hand. he brought it up to his lips and sipped it , feeling the warm liquor spill down his throat. the burning sensation and flavor was all so good to him , taking another drink. setting the glass back on the counter , he felt as if someone was behind him. feeling atap on his shoulder he turned around to see the pretty girl he had met last week. a warm smile appearing on his face, xavier gave her a slight , one sided hug before gesturing for her to take a seat. "hey sicily. how have you been?" he said kindly.
