Port Jackson, containing Sydney Harbour, is the natural harbour of Sydney, Australia. It is known for its beauty, and in particular, as the location of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The location of the first European settlement in Australia, the Harbour has continued to play a key role in the history and development of Sydney. It is used during the New Years Eve Fireworks and the start of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney, Australia, are the most central of the three major botanical gardens open to the public in Sydney. (The others are the Mount Annan Botanic Garden and the Mount Tomah Botanic Garden.) The park, managed by the same trust as The Domain adjoining it, is free to access and open every day of the year.

Along Castlereagh Street is where you will find some of the most famous international designer stores. Shop your way through DKNY, Cartier, Ferragamo, Gucci, Bvlgari, Stefano Canturi and Chanel. Further along Castlereagh Street, pop into Skygarden, David Jones, the Centrepoint Complex, Gianni Versace and Piccadilly on Pitt arcade, just to name a few more.

Bondi is the most famous beach in Australia. It’s well and truly established as one of Sydney’s major tourist attractions, and the fame is deserved – that much is clear at around 2 in the afternoon on a warm Summer Saturday, when every inch of Bondi’s kilometer or so of white sand is covered with glistening flesh wet with suntan lotion, the water filled with laughing kids, the better swimmers beating far out into ocean, surfers hanging their legs into the ocean, their boards just out past the break. It’s all pretty irresistible.

But you get the best fish and chips here , and the location is hard to beat for laidback ambience, situated on the harbor away from the business of the city centre. Reserve a beachside table so you can enjoy the view.

This is one of the most popular and busy restaurants on King Street wharf. The alfresco dining area is usually crowded at lunch hour, and is also a popular meeting point. Chef Sean Flanagan serves a blend of fresh seafood and a selection of Mediterranean char-grills. The service is fast, and the restaurant has space to seat up to 450. This is the ideal place to enjoy a good meal and the view of the beautiful Sydney harbour.

With two bars and a restaurant, East Village is a Darlinghurst hot spot. The middle bar is characterised by big red booths and is a great place for a weekend drink. The Rooftop Bar has sweeping city views of Sydney and a marquee shelters its outdoor area so the party can continue regardless of the weather. The restaurant is the newest addition and serves up modern Australian cuisine. Fashionable and sleek, this venue attracts a local Darlinghurst crowd.

Circular Quay is the hub of the Sydney Harbour and is a vibrant, bustling place home to many buskers, the ferry terminal, the Opera House, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. It is located on the northern edge of the Sydney central business district on Sydney Cove, between Bennelong Point and The Rocks. Circular Quay is made up of walkways, pedestrian malls, parks and restaurants. It hosts a number of ferry quays and a train station.
